On behalf of Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, I am very pleased and honored to welcome you to ¡§The 14th Terry Fox-Chang Gung Memorial Hospital (CGMH) Cancer Symposium¡¨, which will be held jointly with ¡§The 4th Asian Gynecologic Oncology Group (AGOG) Annual Meeting¡¨ in Taoyuan, Taiwan on October 23-24, 2008. The theme of this International Symposium will be on HPV Molecular Epidemiology & Therapeutics and Molecular Imaging in Gynecologic Cancer
Chang Gung Memorial Hospital was established in 1976. During the early years of establishment, we introduced modern medical knowledge and technologies from all around the world to Taiwan. Our physicians, nursing staffs and medical allies work closely as a team to provide our patients with high-quality health care. Today Chang Gung Memorial Hospital has 5 hospitals with more than 8,000 beds and serves one-tenth of the whole Taiwanese population.
In 30 years, we have been constantly striving to improve ourselves in services, teaching and research. In the years to come, we will keep playing an active role in international and national collaborations in clinical and basic research to promote the understanding, prevention of cancer and to improve the quality of medical care in Asia and in the world.

Dear Colleagues and Friends:
On behalf of the Scientific Program Committee of the ¡§International Symposium on HPV Molecular Epidemiology & Therapeutics and Molecular Imaging in Gynecologic Cancer¡¨, I would like to thank you all for your contribution to this satellite symposium of the 12th International Gynecologic Cancer Society (IGCS) Biennial Meeting. Members of IGCS as well as members of Taiwanese Association of Obstetrics and Gynecology and related disciplines are very welcomed to join us.
Important topics of this meeting include lectures on HPV Molecular Epidemiology by world expert in this field, such as Profs. G. Clifford (France), A. Ferenczy (Canada), T.C. Wu (US), C.H. Lai (Taiwan), H.Y.S. Ngan (Hong Kong), K. Matsumoto (Japan), and E.H. Tay (Singapore) on Thursday, Oct 23. Distinguished speakers include Profs. N. M. deSouza (UK), P. W. Grigsby (US), T.C. Chang (Taiwan), and Y. H. Kim (Korea) will cover Molecular Imaging in Gynecologic Cancer on Friday morning (Oct 24). Friday morning session includes lectures on Molecular Imaging in Gynecologic Cancer Profs. N. M. deSouza (UK), P. W. Grigsby (US), T.C. Chang (Taiwan), and Y. H. Kim (Korea).
The best 16 abstracts will be selected for oral poster presentation.
It is quite attractive for IGCS members from all over the world to visit Taiwan and have a one and a half-day pre-congress satellite symposium then go to Bangkok in a week. The official carrier of this meeting, the EVA Air will offer a special rate for all the participants of this symposium. It is exciting to see old friends and meet new friends.
